Virtual Survey
Replace the in-home walkthrough. Your customer films their own rooms from a link and answers the logistics an estimator would — you get a full brief and video without sending a truck or booking a slot.
The in-home survey is the slowest, most expensive step in booking a move: a scheduled slot, an estimator's round trip, a customer taking time off. A virtual survey replaces it. The customer opens a link, films their own rooms with an on-screen coach guiding the shot, and answers the same logistics an estimator would ask on site — so you get a complete moving brief and the footage without a visit.
How it works
The customer taps a link from a text — no password, no app, no account. A guided wizard walks them through:
- Confirming contact and move details, and choosing a packing preference.
- Picking which rooms to film, then filming each room with a live quality coach on screen.
- The logistics an estimator asks on the doorstep — both addresses, floors, elevator vs stairs, carry distance and parking.
- Reviewing and finishing — and paying a deposit right there, if you want the booking now.
While they film, the coach scores lighting, stability and pace and tracks room coverage in real time. A room isn't "done" until it's actually covered, so the footage is usable — not just "something is visible."
What you get
- Capture from one link — no install, no password, no account for the customer.
- A live quality coach — on-screen lighting, stability and pace, plus coverage, with plain prompts like "Too dark — turn on more lighting."
- Device-aware recording — the platform detects the phone's camera and records at the best resolution and frame rate it supports.
- Resumable upload — a dropped signal doesn't kill the recording; the upload continues from where it stopped.
- The whole brief, not just video — addresses, floors, elevator or stairs, carry distance, parking and packing level: the details that otherwise surface as surprise charges on move day.
- A deposit in the same flow — the customer can book by card right after filming.
- A branded customer portal afterward — move timeline, route on a map, the inventory with a "this doesn't match" button, a chat with their coordinator, and document signing.
Why it's different
This isn't a scheduled video call — it's asynchronous. The customer films at 11pm and your manager reviews it in the morning; nobody waits on anyone. It isn't "upload a few photos" either — the guided coach means the frames are good enough to measure from, not just to glance at. And it isn't a bare form: it collects the logistics from both addresses that usually turn into disputes on move day. Sensor data — accelerometer, gyroscope, orientation — is recorded alongside the video, so the capture is measured rather than eyeballed.
The numbers
- ~25 seconds to film a room (15 seconds minimum, 25 for full coverage).
- A four-bedroom home is under five minutes of the customer's time.
- 0 installs, 0 passwords — one link.
- 3 live quality signals while filming — light, stability, pace — plus room coverage.
- 13 guided screens: a full moving brief, not a form with three fields.

Frequently asked questions
Filming runs in the phone browser, and the platform records at the best resolution the device supports. The upload is resumable — if the connection drops, it continues from where it left off instead of starting over.
A live coach on screen scores lighting, stability and pace and tracks how much of the room is covered. A step isn't marked complete until coverage is reached — minimum 15 seconds per room, 25 for full coverage — so you get usable footage rather than a shaky clip.
About 25 seconds of filming per room, plus a few screens for addresses, parking and packing preferences. A typical two-bedroom apartment is only a couple of minutes.
Yes — a card deposit is available from the same link, so a customer can confirm the booking as soon as they finish, before a truck rolls.
Each company's data lives in its own separate database, videos are kept in private storage, and the survey links are tokenized and time-limited.
